Rachel Muckian- Occupational Therapist

Rachel earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Augustana College in 2015 and her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Carroll University in 2017. Rachel is a new therapist and completed her pediatric clinical internship at Helping Hand Center in Countryside, IL.  She also gained experience implementing hippotherapy with children. She has four years of experience working as a substitute paraprofessional in special education classes, where she received training in Verbal Behavior therapy, a type of Applied Behavior Analysis. Rachel has attended courses on Self-Regulation to Praxis and Vision for Pediatrics, and is interested in becoming certified in Therapeutic Listening. She frequently uses the Zones of Regulation program with her clients.  She is passionate about providing family-centered care so that her clients learn strategies to enhance their independence and confidence in everyday skills. In her free time, Rachel enjoys practicing yoga, reading, and spending time with her friends, family, and dog Stewie.
