Kim Beall- Occupational Therapist
Started at Helping Hands September 2018
I have been an Occupational Therapist since 2013, graduating with my Masters of Occupational Therapy from Governors State University. Prior to that, I have often worked with children in various capacities and many different abilities. I have an undergraduate degree from a small Bible college near Philadelphia. As an Occupational Therapist, I have previously worked in the public school system, Early Intervention, and the pediatric clinic setting. I have enjoyed all of these settings and currently work part-time in the school setting as well as here at Helping Hands. My continuing education work has involved assistive technology, splinting, Autism, sensory processing, and classes in vision and attention. I have always enjoyed working with children who are at many different ability levels and feel that OT has a unique role in supporting and building up children and their families.
I enjoy working in the clinic environment because I like supporting the family unit and problem solving those situations that can arise in our everyday lives.
Personally, I have a fun family unit of my own at home that keep me busy when I'm not here or at my other job with a sweet husband and two little boys.
I'm excited to have joined the Helping Hands team.
