Nicole has been the owner of Helping Hands since 2018. She graduated from St. Ambrose University with a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. She has 18 years experience as an occupational therapist, with 16 of them working with pediatric clients. Nicole worked at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet for 12 years, prior to coming to Helping Hands in 2015. She is certified in Ayres Sensory Integration, and has taken a variety of continuing education classes in treatment and evaluation for children with sensory processing deficits, Autism, behavioral strategies, brachial plexus injury, dyspraxia, and pediatric stroke. She loves working with children and their families to help them function as independently as possible in their daily lives. Nicole strives to make and adapt her treatment plans to best meet each individual child’s and family’s specific needs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, traveling, going to the park, watching movies, and playing board games.
