Sheree Salmon- Occupational Therapist
Started at Helping Hands September 2018
I have been an Occupational Therapist since 2013. I graduated with my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Chicago State University. Since graduating, my primary focus has been pediatric OT. My passion has always been to work in the pediatric field and I love that I get to do what I love every day. My previous job experience include working in a therapeutic day school settings with children and adults with Autism. I still currently work in this setting. In the world of Autism, no two kids are alike and no two days are the same. These experiences definitely keep me on my toes and helps me to build needed professional and personal skills.
I love to learn and explore new areas, and taking on a part time position at Helping Hands seems like a new adventure and challenge that I was willing to take on. I look forward to teaching life and developmental skills but also learning from my kiddos as well. I really enjoy working and building relationship with children and families. I also enjoy learning about the ever-evolving world of sensory processing and Autism.
Personally, I love to travel and see different parts of the world! I love to spend time with my family, to read, binge watch TV shows, and I love to eat! I have plenty of nieces and nephews that help me to practice my parenting skills until I have one of my own one day!
